U.S. trade policy continues to change rapidly, including new tariffs. This leaves many businesses with difficult decisions on how to stay competitive and profitable. In our case, this means we’ve had to make the difficult decision to suspend international ordering until further notice.
This is not a decision we take lightly. However, our last international order faced too many logistical, tariff, and shipping hurdles, which prevented us from being able to complete the sale.
These issues are not disappearing in the near future, so we’d rather shut down international ordering rather than risk future issues with other customers. This does not affect domestic orders, which do not require additional paperwork or duties. Only orders shipped outside of the U.S. and its territories are affected.
Where should I buy from?
Although we’d love to earn your business, we recommend purchasing from a local reseller to avoid these issues. It is also possible that the price you’ll pay may be less than attempting to purchase it from the U.S., since any duties have already been paid by the importer, and may have been paid before new tariffs took effect.
We do recommend purchasing as soon as possible, though, as it’s quite likely American-made products will become considerably more expensive throughout the year.
At this time, we do not have a timeline for when international ordering will return, but it will likely be several months before international sales and shipping becomes feasible and cost-effective again.
We are hoping that efforts to roll back these new tariffs are successful, which are underway in the US court system as we speak. It is increasingly difficult to do business in this climate, and we support the efforts of the business community in fighting back against these unnecessary extra costs.
