For especially demanding applications, the Davis Vantage Pro2 Integrated Sensor Suite with 24-Hr Fan Aspiration is a research-grade weather station ideal for both weather enthusiasts and professionals alike, with industry-leading 2.5-second near-real-time updates. The sensor suite requires either the WeatherLink Console, EnviroMonitor IP Gateway, or WeatherLink Live within 1,000′ (300 meters). The outside temperature and humidity sensors are housed in a 24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield for maximum accuracy.
Adding fan aspiration to the Davis Vantage Pro2 negates the effects of direct sunlight. A solar- and battery-powered, motor-driven fan draws a constant airflow through the sensor chamber. At night, when the effects of radiation are less, the fan runs on the battery at a lower speed. The Davis Vantage Pro2 Integrated Sensor Suite with 24-hr Fan Aspiration is perfect for consistently accurate readings, even if the sensor suite is exposed to direct sunlight.
