Description
While the Maximum Hatteras Weather Station only provides wind and pressure data, its meteorological grade accuracy serves as the basis for accurately forecasting future weather conditions. The package includes the Maestro and Proteus.
Wi-Fi versions ship with all the interfaces necessary to connect your station to your network for data sharing.
Maestro
Two options are available: the standard model, which offers wind speeds from 0-100 mph and 0-160 km/h, and a “scale doubler” version that features a standard 0-40 mph range, with a second scale with a range of 0-120 mph for use during windy conditions.
Wind direction is displayed via eight red LEDs. The rooftop wind speed sensor measures the wind speed, while the included AC adapter powers the direction LEDs. The Maximum Maestro’s unique Gust Register allows you to monitor precisely how hard the wind blew, even if you are not present when it occurs.
Proteus
When accuracy is paramount, the Maximum Proteus Barometer has few equals. Temperature compensated to within .08″ of mercury, it is an accurate scientific-grade instrument if you are looking to take weather tracking and observing to the next level.
Measurements are taken over a four-inch scale of mercury (27.5-31.5″) and kilopascals (93.2-106.7), and are adjustable for any elevation up to 8000′. A cutaway dial window reveals an heirloom-quality French barometer movement.
