About the Davis Temperature Humidity Sensor with Radiation Shield (6830)
The Davis Temperature Humidity Sensor with Radiation Shield features both temperature and humidity sensors inside the radiation shield, which protects the sensors from solar radiation and other sources of radiated and reflected heat. Temperature data updates every 10 seconds, while humidity updates every minute. This sensor cannot be used alone: it requires a transmitter station, such as the Sensor Transmitter, to send data to a compatible receiving device.
Reception of data is possible with WeatherLink Console, WeatherLink Live, or Weather Envoy. It can also be used in an EnviroMonitor Node with an EnviroMonitor Gateway. It does not require a Davis integrated sensor suite to operate. Includes hardware for mounting on a fence post or pole and a 25′ (7.6 meter) cable.
For better accuracy in direct sunlight, consider the Davis Temperature Humidity Sensor with 24-Hour Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield (6832).
- Temperature sensor accuracy and range: ยฑ0.5ยฐF (ยฑ0,3ยฐC) from -40ยฐ to 150ยฐF (-40ยฐ to 65ยฐC)
- Humidity sensor accuracy: ยฑ2%.
