Many people have noticed that their old Stratus gauge frequently collects/measures more rain than their new TROPO gauge. Is this due to a design flaw in the TROPO? Well, this difference is mostly caused by the near infinite number of factors that can influence the catchment of precipitation, such as wind speed and direction. Two rain gauges installed side-by-side may never fully agree! In addition to that, however, there IS actually a difference in accuracy between the Stratus and the TROPO. But which one is more accurate? That question will be answered in this video.
