We are experiencing longer than normal order processing times, currently 36-48 hours on average. International shoppers: read this blog on tariffs.

Navigating Tariffs

Like you all, we are watching the news, wondering what, how, and when the effects of these tariffs will show up. The impact of the initial round of tariffs this Spring is only being felt now, and the effects of the most recent round may not be apparent until the fall.

Luckily, our costs so far have not increased dramatically. But we can’t guarantee that will always be the case. At some point, we expect that to change.

The first date to know is August 1. This is the new deadline for new deals with the Administration. This affects our international shoppers. If you’re considering purchasing a weather station, for most locations, the order must be placed by July 23 at the latest to avoid potential tariff issues at customs. Your order only needs to arrive and clear customs before the 1st, not be delivered to you. This provides enough time for that to occur for nearly every market.

Orders arriving at customs in your home country after August 1 may be subject to tariffs. Remember, as the importer, you are responsible for any customs fees that may be incurred. We cannot assist with these fees if you’ve placed an order after this date. Any orders placed on or before that date, where new tariffs result in additional costs, will be compensated.

Tariffs aren’t going away

The next few months are likely to feature a tighter supply of just about everything. Depending on what happens here in the next few weeks, things may get even worse.

In the meantime, we will maintain current prices for as long as possible. In some cases, we’ve been able to reduce our prices as our costs have fallen. For example, our Davis complete stations have all received price cuts of between $20 and $70, depending on the model.

(We recently dropped our apparel and accessory prices, too, by an average of 10%!)

We are guaranteeing these prices through August 31, 2025. Obviously, after tariffs, we will need to review our pricing. Luckily, most of our catalog is primarily produced here in the US.

We don’t anticipate significant price increases, but we cannot rule out the possibility this fall. However, for the near future, we will be able to maintain our competitive pricing.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ve already worked with international customers to help navigate these tariffs and stand ready to help others.

In the meantime, let’s all hope that things straighten themselves out.
