While the standard Davis Vantage Pro2 is an accurate weather station, the Davis Vantage Pro2 with 24-hr Fan Aspiration and WeatherLink Console is certainly a step up from Davis stations of the past.

This version of  Davis Vantage Pro2 includes a solar- and battery-powered, motor-driven fan that draws a constant airflow through the sensor chamber. At night, when the effects of radiation are less, the fan runs on the battery. This provides more accurate temperature readings than passive shielding alone.
