Compatible with WeatherLink Console, Weather Envoy, and WeatherLink Live, the Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus with 24-Hr Fan Aspiration, UV and Solar Sensors, and WeatherLink Console has everything you need, and is further expandable thanks to a wide variety of Davis sensors. This makes the Davis Vantage Pro2 the ideal candidate for professional, commercial, and scientific applications.

The 24-Hour Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield includes a solar- and battery-powered, motor-driven fan that draws a constant airflow through the sensor chamber. At night, when the effects of radiation are less, the fan runs on the battery. This provides more accurate temperature readings than passive shielding alone.

Who is the Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus Integrated Sensor Suite with 24-Hr Fan Aspiration best for?

We recommend the Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus for a wide variety of applications. It’s best suited for applications where a high degree of accuracy is desired. However, everyday weather watchers would be better served by the Davis Vantage Vue.

Does the Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus require batteries?

The Integrated Sensor Suite operates primarily on solar power. A CR123 battery provides backup power as necessary, and in typical installations, it should last 2-3 years. We do not recommend the wireless Vantage Pro2 Plus in locations that receive less than 6 hours of sunlight daily during winter.

How do I get the most accurate readings from my Vantage Pro2 Plus?

We strongly recommend placing your anemometer assembly as high as possible. One of the Vantage Pro2 Plus’ best features is the capability to separate the anemometer from the rest of the sensor suite. With 40 feet of wire, you can get the sensor to the official level of 33 feet. The fan aspiration found in this model will make temperature and humidity readings more accurate in direct sunlight.
