About the Davis Temperature Humidity Sensor with 24-Hour Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield (6832)
While the standard Davis Temperature Humidity Sensor is sufficient for most applications, those looking for a higher degree of accuracy should opt for the Davis Temperature Humidity Sensor with 24-Hour Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield instead. Both the temperature and humidity sensors are enclosed inside the 24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield, which protects the sensors from solar radiation and other sources of radiated and reflected heat.
Data is transmitted every 2.5 seconds using Davis’ trademark frequency-hopping spread spectrum radio for continuous and reliable data transmission up to 1000′ feet away.
This sensor cannot be used alone: it requires a transmitter station, such as the Sensor Transmitter, to send data to a compatible receiving device. Reception of data is possible with a WeatherLink Console, WeatherLink Live, or Weather Envoy. It can also be used in an EnviroMonitor Node with an EnviroMonitor Gateway. It does not require a Davis integrated sensor suite to operate, however.
