Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined process by which water moves from the Earth’s surface to the atmosphere through evaporation from soil and other surfaces and transpiration from plants. The Davis Solar Radiation Sensor measures solar radiation and is required (along with an anemometer and a temperature/humidity sensor) to monitor evapotranspiration.
The silicon photo diode on the top of the sensor simulates the solar spectrum. The two-piece housing minimizes radiation heating, allows convection cooling of the sensor, and prevents the trapping of water or dust.
Features:
- Sensor includes a built-in level
- Two feet of cable included
- Compatible with both the original Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2
- Requires the Sensor Mounting Shelf
- UV Sensor sold separately
