Davis Solar Radiation Sensor

The Davis Solar Radiation Sensor is used with Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2. (It is already included with Vantage Pro Plus and Vantage Pro2 Plus.) It measures solar radiation and is required (along with an anemometer and a temperature/humidity sensor) to monitor evapotranspiration.

The diffuser element and housing are carefully designed for accurate cosine response. The silicon photo diode provides a good match to the solar spectrum. The two-piece housing minimizes radiation heating, allows convection cooling of the sensor, and prevents the trapping of water or dust. It includes a built-in level and 2′ (0.6M) cable.
