Description
The TALOS SFD-1000-N2K Lightning Detector was created especially for the marine sector. Fully NMEA 2000 compliant, the SFD-1000-N2K displays warning alerts on all of the vesselโs MFD screens and smoothly connects with the NMEA 2000 CAN bus. To protect against the potentially fatal risks of lightning strikes, the SFD-1000-N2K can be added as an aftermarket feature or fitted during the boat-building process.
No drilling is required: simply connect to the NMEA 2000 network, conceal the TALOS SFD-1000-N2K Lightning Detector within the boat, and hide it from view. No wiring or external electricity is required. Visual alerts automatically appear on your MFD screen, accompanied by an audible tone, with alerts indicatingย the distance of lightning strikes (both approaching and departing) at 5, 10, and 25 nautical miles.
