How are delivery estimates calculated?
By entering your ZIP code into the delivery estimate box on most product pages, we can provide you with a three-day window for when we expect you to receive your package. We consider these factors:
- Carrier delivery estimates from the closest warehouse with stock to your zipcode using standard shipping
- Our average processing time
- Past order shipment times to your area and overall shipping performance.
- Known delays
- Weekends and holidays (no processing or shipping)
Roughly 70% of the estimate is provided by the carrier, with the remainder using past processing and shipping performance. The initial delivery estimate is our best guess as to when your order should arrive. When the carrier provides a delivery date, our estimate will be replaced with the carrier’s. These are updated on an hourly basis.
If you only see a delivery estimate, this means that the item(s) may ship from a variety of locations, so an exact delivery window is difficult to pinpoint. The estimates provided use the processing and transit times from the shipping cost table found in this FAQ.
How much does shipping cost?
To simplify shipping, we have implemented a flat-rate shipping method based on cart value, beginning at $4.99. Most orders over $50 qualify for free standard shipping. Other methods are available, including USPS, UPS, and FedEx, which are based on weight, as shown at checkout. To find these shipping costs, use the calculator provided on the product page.
New rates effective February 1, 2026. Reflects a $1.00 increase in standard shipping and introduces an international flat rate. Standardized rates implemented for expedited and international options. The free shipping minimum has been reduced to $50 USD. Minimum order is now $100 USD for all international orders, and $30 USD for all expedited orders, including any shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.

How do I get free shipping?
Most orders totaling $50 or more pre-tax, post-coupons are eligible for free standard US shipping. There is no free shipping option for international orders, including to Canada. Canadian shoppers may find our Canada Flat Rate more economical than weight-based shipping, while shoppers in Mexico can take advantage of our Mexico Flat Rate.
What orders will not qualify for free shipping?
Orders with oversized items will incur a freight fee to account for the higher shipping costs. This is added to the final sale price at checkout. Currently, one item, the Climalytic Snow Board, is assessed with such a fee ($15 USD).
Why was a freight fee added to my order total?
We have implemented a freight fee to offset significantly increased shipping costs for oversized items. The fee is added automatically if your order contains one of these items.
What is ‘Delivery and Installation Assistance’?
If your zipcode is within 60 miles of our location, you will see an option when choosing shipping for ‘Delivery and Installation Assistance.’ This is billed at a flat rate of $75, and includes delivery and up to 60 minutes of installation assistance to get you up and running. We cannot mount your weather station off of ground level due to liability reasons. We typically deliver in the late afternoon and early evening, prior to sunset. Please note that during the winter months, due to a lack of daylight during our delivery hours and weather conditions, the availability of this service may be limited.
What is Cirrusly Fast Shipping?
Cirrusly Fast is our premium shipping option, guaranteeing air delivery of your order via UPS 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air, starting at $14.99. As a premium option, we will select the fastest available option covered by your shipping fees. In most cases, this will be 2nd Day Air, but depending on your location, next-day service may be possible.
Your order is prioritized, which typically results in processing times of 24 hours or less, half our typical processing time. There is a $30 minimum to use this shipping option.
How do you handle shipping and delivery delays?
While we strive to ship all orders within 48 hours, there may be circumstances when processing, shipping, or delivery takes longer than initially estimated.
- Orders received after 2 pm Saturday: Order will ship Monday PM at the earliest due to warehouse closure and shipping pause
- US Holidays: Processing and shipping do not occur on US holidays
- Severe Weather: Weather across the US may cause delays in shipping and delivery.
- International Orders: Orders to international locations may require up to 24 hours of additional processing, depending on the location.
- Carrier-related delays: Although rare, the carriers themselves can run into issues or delays for a variety of reasons. In most cases, the exact reason for the delay can be found in recent tracking data.
- Illness or emergencies: As a small business, we can get short-staffed easily. Unplanned events may pull us away temporarily.
If we anticipate or experience longer than normal delays, we will notify you with a banner across the top of our webpages. This banner will also typically include a link to additional information, including when we expect delays to subside.
Processing and shipping estimates will be affected by the above circumstances, some of which we cannot control. Orders affected by the above circumstances are not eligible for any service guarantees.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes. All items are available for shipping to the US and Canada, with most items also available for shipping to Mexico. In some cases, reseller restrictions prevent us from selling products to customers outside the United States. There is a minimum order requirement of US$100. We use a flat rate system similar to our domestic shipments, with shipping starting at $39.99 to Canada and Mexico, and $49.99 elsewhere.
We currently only ship to the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, and most of the EU economic zone. Please note we do not ship to countries under economic sanctions by the United States Government, nor areas where active conflict is occurring.
Please keep in mind that due to current trade policy, you may be responsible for tariff duties to claim your shipment. Cirrusly Weather does not provide reimbursement for these charges.
International orders may undergo additional verification before processing to prevent fraud, which may lengthen processing times.
What is the best way to ship weather stations to Puerto Rico?
Based on discussions with customers on the island, we have created a special flat rate option that replaces the free shipping option previously available as of August 20, 2025. The reasons for this are two-fold: first, rates for 2-Day Air and ‘Ground’ shipping to Puerto Rico are nearly identical. Also, we’ve been advised that shipping via Ground methods to Puerto Rico can result in significant delays.
Unfortunately, most of our distributors do not offer discounted shipping to Puerto Rico (how we offer free fast shipping to you), so we’ve decided to end free shipping to Puerto Rico, replacing it with an option that will get orders in the hands of customers at similar speeds to our customers in the lower 48.
What is the best way to ship weather stations to Alaska and Hawaii?
Similar to our shipping option for Puerto Rico, we are introducing a 3-day flat rate option to Alaska and Hawaii that replaces the free shipping method and provides faster shipping to these locations. Moving to a shipping solution that involves air travel cuts transit times in half. (Davis special order items may ship using a different service level, as those orders are directly dispatched from Davis’ Hayward, California warehouse).
As with shipments to Puerto Rico, effective August 20, 2025, there is no longer a free shipping option available to these states.
What is the most suitable shipping method for the international delivery of weather stations?
In most cases, using USPS Priority Mail International Express will be about 50% cheaper than using either UPS or FedEx. While these stations don’t weigh much, the box is large and not a standard size, which is a much bigger factor in international shipments, given the limited space available.
A note on USPS deliveries
While our domestic customers are well aware of the recent issues with USPS, it’s expected that our international customers are not. One issue that has been consistently a problem for USPS deliveries for years is tracking information. Based on our experience so far, it is taking 24-48 hours for initial tracking information to appear.
This is due to the USPS’s increasing reliance on third parties to move items through its network. We’ve noticed delays of up to 6-12 hours on tracking information outside of the USPS’s network, whereas other providers update new information within minutes of a scan, regardless of whether it’s handled by the carrier or a third-party.
The other part that has recently become an issue is speed. In November of last year, the postal service ended any time guarantees for international shipments. While we still recommend selecting Express, the speed of movement through the system is far slower than UPS or FedEx. Choosing a standard speed will result in longer shipping times. Once it leaves the USPS system and enters your home country’s postal system, the speeds should be more what you’re accustomed to.
We want to caution against linking slow delivery times with lost packages. While service quality has decreased, the number of lost packages has not increased. This is a long-standing technical and logistical problem with the postal service in the US, not a service problem.
Unfortunately, these issues are well outside our control and are a source of frustration for Americans. We ask for patience from our international shoppers, as USPS is regrettably the only cost-effective way to ship weather stations overseas because of their large size.
I am being asked to pay additional fees at customs.
When importing, you may be subject to fees, such as tariffs or other import charges, that your home country imposes. We strongly recommend you check your local import laws to ensure you aren’t surprised by fees at pickup. Additionally, with a far more uncertain trade environment, these fees may change with little notice, even as your shipment is in transit. We do not remit these fees, as we are the exporter.
Since most countries have responded reciprocally, we recommend using 10% of the sales price as a base for the likely duties owed. 10% is the “base rate” for US import tariffs, and it’s likely your country has implemented a similar import duty in response.
All international orders are reviewed for potential tariff exposure. We will provide you with an estimated amount due, and you must authorize the shipment prior to it being released from the warehouse.
Do you ship partial orders?
In nearly all cases, and especially for international shipments, we ship complete orders only. There are exceptions to this on a case-by-case basis. This allows us to keep prices low. If you are ordering a back-ordered item, please note that it may delay the receipt of your order.
How can I track my order?
You can track your order through My Account if you have an account with us, and/or by visiting our Track Your Order page. You will need either your phone number, email address, and order number, or the tracking number provided in your shipment email.
Will I need to select Expedited Shipping to receive my order quickly?
No. Depending on the product’s location, standard shipping may have the same transit time as expedited shipping would. We list where we ship from so you can choose what shipping method works best for you.
What methods are used for domestic shipping?
UPS or FedEx Ground in most cases. Printify ships our apparel orders via USPS or regional carriers, such as OnTrac.
What methods are used for International shipments?
USPS. We do not use UPS/FedEx due to considerably higher shipping costs.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders that have not been shipped may be canceled at no charge by contacting our support team. Refunds are processed immediately upon cancellation, but the speed at which you receive them depends on your bank’s policies. Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled and will be treated as a refund. All refund policies will apply. We strongly recommend reviewing our terms of service, refund, and return policy before ordering, as they provide more detailed information.
